अनुभवी भारत की तेज गेंदबाज झूलन गोस्वामी ने आखिरकार अपने शानदार अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर को अलविदा कह दिया, उनके विदाई मैच में वीमेन इन ब्लू ने शनिवार, 24 सितंबर को लॉर्ड्स क्रिकेट ग्राउंड में इंग्लैंड को कम स्कोर वाले थ्रिलर में 16 रन से हराकर सीरीज 3-0 से जीत लिया।
झूलन के लिए यह वास्तव में एक यादगार दिन था क्योंकि वह अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में अपने स्पैल के आखिरी ओवर में एक विकेट लेने में सफल रही जब उन्होंने टेल-एंडर केट क्रॉस को आउट किया।

भले ही इंग्लिश गेंदबाजों ने झूलन को गोल्डन डक पर आउट किया गया और भारत को 46 वें ओवर में 169 रनों पर ही समेट दिया, लंबे तेज गेंदबाज ने अपने करियर में कुछ और विकेट जोड़े और अपने करियर को एक उच्च स्तर पर समाप्त किया।
उन्होंने गेंदबाजी करते हुए बहुत धैर्य दिखाया परिणामस्वरूप उन्हे एलिस कैप्सी और केट क्रॉस के विकेटों से पुरस्कृत किया गया, अपने 10 ओवरों में 2/30 के आंकड़े के साथ सिर्फ तीन की इकॉनोमी दर से उन्होंने रन दिए।
मैच तब समाप्त हुआ जब स्पिन गेंदबाजी ऑलराउंडर दीप्ति शर्मा ने नॉन-स्ट्राइकर्स एंड पर अच्छी तरह से सेट चार्लोट डीन को चालाकी से रन आउट किया।
